Meet Dr. James St. Clair

Meet
Dr. James St. Clair

Dr. James is a native West Texan, graduating as salutatorian from Morton High School in 1989. Having attended both Texas Tech University and McMurry University, he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Dr. James’ Doctor of Dental Surgery degree was awarded from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, in 1997. He graduated with honors, completing his orthodontic residency at the University of Texas-Houston Dental Branch, where he earned a Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, as well as a Master of Science degree in 1999. He received the Wick Alexander research award for his master’s thesis research project. This is the top research award bestowed by the University of Texas orthodontic department.

Dr. James loves to teach. Beginning in 2003, he taught graduate orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics as an associate clinical professor at the University of Texas Dental School in Houston for 14 years. Dr. James is passionate about serving people. He not only serves people in the office with clinical excellence and a tender touch, but outside of the office in his church, community involvement with the Texas Mission of Mercy, and in educating elementary students in Lubbock and the surrounding areas about the importance of dental hygiene. Dr. James and his family came to Lubbock in the summer of 1999 to join the family practice. He and his wife, Shanna, have been married for 27 years and are the proud parents of three beautiful daughters, Madeleine, Emily, and Abigail. When he’s not in the office, Dr. James is crazy about spending time with his family. He can often be found cheering on his children as they participate in school activities, camping, hiking, fishing, golfing, hunting, or anything that involves family and the great outdoors!

Meet Dr. CC Massey

Dr. C.C. Massey was raised in both West Texas and Eastern New Mexico and has found it incredibly gratifying to be back in the area where he was raised. While attending Abilene Christian University, Dr. Massey spent his summers in Lubbock teaching special education summer school for LISD. “The three summers I spent in Lubbock teaching were some of the most rewarding times in my life,” he said. “It formed in me a love for serving others as well as a heart for the community and people of Lubbock.”

After graduating Summa Cum Laude from ACU in 2004, Dr. Massey pursued what he felt was a calling to healthcare by attending Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas from 2004 to 2008. Upon finishing in the top four percent of his dental class, he was then selected to continue with his specialty training in orthodontics at Baylor’s prestigious orthodontic residency program. While at Baylor, Dr. Massey enjoyed the honor of having three scientific research articles published as well as earning the Harry Sicher Award for the top clinical research completed in the field of orthodontics in 2010. In February of 2011, Dr. Massey had the opportunity to sit before the American Board of Orthodontists. He became one of the youngest board-certified orthodontists in the country when he received Diplomate status after completing his exam, a distinction less than 30 percent of American orthodontists now hold. Upon completing his residency in August of 2010, Dr. Massey and his wife, Kimberly, moved to Lubbock to join the St. Clairs’ family practice.

Dr. Massey describes his faith, his family, and his profession as the most important things in his life. He and Kimberly have been blessed with three amazing boys: Austin, Colton, and Judson, and one daughter, Evelyn. They attend Redeemer Church in Lubbock, where they love leading their gospel community group.
